The Human Brain

The human brain is the most complex organ in the body, weighing about 1.4 kilograms on average. It contains approximately 86 billion neurons that form trillions of connections called synapses. The brain controls thought, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, breathing, temperature, and hunger. It's divided into several regions, each responsible for different functions and cognitive abilities. The brain remains highly plastic throughout life, constantly rewiring itself based on experiences.
